OK so now we’re coming to the point where school is almost over, and summer is about to begin! Well that also means that stores all across the nation are going to be putting out swimsuits. Some stores are ahead right now and are already selling swimsuits. So to get us in the summer mood, I am going to talk all about swimsuits. From what colors, to what styles, and even what flip flops to wear with them! 



There are 3 different main types of swimsuits; one piece, 2 piece, or tankini’s. A one piece usually relates to this picture to the right.

Swimsuits come in many different patterns and colors. Such as polka dots, animal prints, stripes, solid colors, words, peace signs, hearts, ect.

When you are buying a pair of flip flops to wear with your swimsuit, make sure that they match. If they end up not matching, you’re are going to look like you don’t care if you clothes match, and that’s not good. So for example, if you wear a blue and white striped 2 piece swimsuit, make sure you don’t go funky and wear a random pink and yellow polka dot patterned pair of flip flops. Instead go with a solid color with sparkles! So just remember, swimsuit frenzy! J



Spring Dresses

Ok so ya’ll know how spring is arriving and winter is coming to an end? Well that means it’s time to talk about spring & summer dresses!

Dresses come in many different lengths. First of all you can get a short dress that usually goes a few inches above your knees, second you can get a medium length dress which it usually at or a little bit below your knees, and finally you can get a maxi dress (a long dress) that goes to your ankles or further.

Next dresses come in a lot of different patterns. Most of the dresses you find in the spring and summer are flowery, which means they have flowers on them. But there are also a lot of other common patterns such as polka dot, stripes, different animal prints, and when your little they even have dresses that have ladybugs and other bugs on them!

Then you come to the styles of the dresses. First you have your fancy dresses and your casual dresses. You want to make sure that you can tell the difference because you don’t want to end up wearing a fancy dress to a picnic because there’s a high chance it will get dirty or even ruined. Fancy dresses tend to be longer and the type you would wear to prom or a wedding. Casual dresses are dresses that you would wear on an everyday basis, to a picnic, to the park, ect.

So now that you have all of this information on dresses, I would like to know what you guys want me to talk about in my next blog! So just remember, say yes to a dress!

Make-up Madness

Have you even gone shopping for make-up and got frustrated because you didn’t know what color to wear according to your skin tone and eye color? Well, I have, many times. And today I’m going to recommend some of my favorite products and what colors to wear depending on your skin tone, and eye color.

COVERGIRL pressed powder

I’ve tried many different foundations for my skin tone, and the best one I have come to so far is COVERGIRL. My favorite item they sell is their pressed powder. The kind I buy is in a blue zebra case, but there are a lot of other different ones. I use the skin tone medium light. My skin is very fair and so instead of going with my skin color, which is actually ivory, I went just a little bit darker so I don’t seem as pale. 

When you are buying mascara, stick to black, brown, or brownish-black. These colors are very common and since they are dark, they will draw attention to the white in your eye. It’s good to draw attention to the whites in your eye because it makes your eye stand out more. 

When you are buying blush make sure that you only pick a color that is maybe a little bit pinker than your skin tone. If you go crazy with the pinkest blush, you will turn out looking like a clown, and that is not good.

When you are buying eye shadow, remember to buy a color that looks good with your eye color. Eye shadow isn’t something you wear so it can match your outfit; it’s something you wear to make your eyes stand out more. There are different colors to wear depending on your eye color. When you buy lip gloss, make sure you buy a color that looks good with your skin tone, eye shadow, and blush. Here’s a tip, if you are getting your picture taken, DO NOT wear sparkly or shiny lip gloss!!! If you do, when you get your picture back, your lips might look blurred or they might have a line of light in them because you wore sparkly or shiny lip gloss.

Oh-my-gosh-i-love-doing-my-hair-and-want-to-learn-how-to-do-more-hairstyles!

I love doing people’s hair! Cutting, styling, and pretty much everything! You don’t know this, so I thought I should tell you. I have a dream of becoming the world’s best hair stylist. Now I know you’re thinking that there is a 1 in a billion chance that will happen, so I have to tell you I even doubt that will happen. But since I still love doing hair, I want to become a hair stylist. There are many different hair styles to do, my favorite is a braid.    

Braids come in many different styles. First there is the classic normal 3 peice braid. First you start by separating the hair into three parts. You take the part on the left and put it over the middle section, making sure that they don’t mix. Then the section that stared on the left is now the middle. And the one that started in the middle is now the left section of the braid. Next you take the right section of the braid and put it over the middle section. And after that you just keep continuing. I know that it’s hard to explain but there is a website with instructions.

Next you come to the french braid. All it really is is the normal braid but as you go you collect other pieces of hair and add them to your three sections. 

Now that you know some of the common braids, you can try other cool hairstyles. Accessory Necessity

What can add color to any outfit, looks cute, and comes in many styles? If you guessed accessories, you’re correct! I would have to say that accessory necessity is an amazing saying!

There are many types of accessories. Some are scarves, jewelry, and hair accessories.

Scarves can be worn many ways and here are two examples. One way to wear a scarf is to fold it in half, put it around your neck, and put the side with the ends through the center of the other sides. Another way is to take you scarf, tie the ends together, put it around your neck, and then loop it around your neck one more time.

There are many different kinds of jewelry. A few are bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings. They come in a lot of different colors and styles, and can be worn throughout the whole year. You should wear warm, welcoming colors in fall and winter, and sharp looking, bright colors in the summer and spring.

Hair accessories are so important! The keep your hair out of your face, add color to your hair, and are so cute! You can use clips, bobby pins, head bands, and more. A helpful hint is that when you wear bobby pins, make sure they are pretty close to the color of your hair, otherwise it doesn't look as well. 

So just remember, accessory necessity! :)

SHOES!!!

“I grabbed it first!” and “It’s mine!” are many of the sayings girls around the world say when they see a pair of shoes they want. Why do we girls obsess about shoes? It’s probably because they can top off an amazing or plain outfit, and because they are girls’ best friend. When it comes to outgoing, stylish, and funky shoes, I would have to say that Lady Gaga and Katy Perry win. Katy Perry's  unique style is so cool because it expresses the real her. And Lady Gaga's style blows your mind because you can never know what to expect. Shoes are amazing! You may not even realize it but what shoes you wear affect what people think about you. If you wear a snake skin printed platform, people will think that you are powerful and that you know what you’re doing. If you wear a tan pump, most of the time people will think that you are sophisticated. Choosing your style of shoes is very important. In my opinion Lady Gaga’s shoe style is funky and random. I also think that Katy Perry’s shoe style is stylish, sparkly, and bold. Everybody’s shoe style is different. For me I like to go with sparkly pumps in a bold color, or soft comfortable shoes, but you know it depends on the day. When picking your style of shoes, start by asking yourself “What are my hobbies?” and “What is my personality?”  Your hobbies and personality can have a huge effect on what shoes you like to wear. If you are a sporty girl, your style might be Converse or something easy to run in. If you are a girly girl, your style might be high heels and flats. Make sure to use these tips when picking your shoe style, and express the real you.

Color Crazy

If you want to know the colors to wear for each season, you’re in the right place. I’m Emily and I would like to share with you the ideal colors for the season of summer. In summer you should wear bright, shining and colorful outfits because each color has a different feeling to it. Pink is a strong and bold color, and when wearing it you can feel pretty and powerful at the same time. White is another expected trend color for the summer. It has that clean and sharp feeling. It’s also good to wear in the summer because it doesn’t attract heat from the sun, unlike black. So you can stay cool, and look cool. Bold prints are an amazing choice for summer because they can top of a plain colored shirt and add some color to your outfit. You can wear cheetah print, leopard print, stripes, flowers, and more! Short summer dresses are also one of the latest trends. You can wear dresses with prints, such as flowers or stripes, and if they are just plain white, top them off with colorful accessories. When you have finished creating an outfit that fits your personality for the summer, make sure to add accessories. When wearing plain outfits, wear colorful accessories, like necklaces, and bracelets, and top them off with nice looking shoes. If you are wearing colorful outfits, top them off with plain colored accessories. So now that you know the trending summer colors for this year, you can be ahead of the game!
